The University of Limpopo hereby invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced service providers it for a
5 year term without a guarantee of renewal for phase 1, 2 & 3.
This tender is for the design and construction of a student housing precinct including related amenities at the
University of Limpopo, Turfloop Campus, located at the corner of R71 Tzaneen Road and University Street,
Mankweng Township, Polokwane, Limpopo.
Contracts will be based on the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (Option B – Priced contract with bill of
quantities).
Eligibility criteria are stated in the tender document. The Tendering Entities must be registered with the Construction
Industry Development Board (CIDB), and it is estimated that contractors must have a CIDB contractor grading of
9GB.
The Employer is not bound to accept the lowest tender or portion of any tender and reserves the right to waive
any informality in tenders received as his interests may dictate nor is he required to give any reasons for selecting
one tender in favour of another.

non-refundable tender deposit of R25,000.00 payable by EFT in favour of the Employer is required should the
Tenderer decide to submit an offer.

A compulsory site meeting, will be held at the Technical Services Building of the University of Limpopo, on
Thursday, 13th April 2023 at 11h00.
Tenderers who fail to attend the compulsory site briefing will not be eligible to tender.
The closing time for receipt of tenders is 16h00 on Friday 12th May 2023.
Tenders are to be submitted online through the Online Tender Box at www.sabeex.com. Detailed instructions for

timeously in order to avoid disappointment).
Bidders must note that it is their responsibility to ensure that all pages of the original Bid Document and the

be missing key pages, particularly any documents required for evaluation purposes, the University of Limpopo
reserves the right not to evaluate the bid further. Bidders should keep the original copy of their bid as it will be
