University of Limpopo (UL) seeks to procure the ICT Next-Generation Firewall Infrastructure Solution. This procurement is essential to ensure the security, high availability, and performance of the University’s network infrastructure, which supports over 26,000 users, including students and staff.
Prospective bidders should note the following:
a) Bid documents, which include the specification and the scope of the service, can be downloaded for free from the Employer’s website at www.ul.ac.za from 12h00 on 08 August 2025.
b) A non-refundable tender deposit of R10,000.00 payable by EFT in favour of the Employer is required should they decide to submit an offer. The following banking details are to be used:

e) No hand delivery, faxed, or emailed copies will be accepted. If a bid is late or delivered to the incorrect address, it will not be accepted for consideration.

h) The University shall not be responsible for, or pay for, any expenses or losses which may be incurred by the Bidder in the preparation and delivery of its Responses.
i) All material submitted in reply to this Bid shall become the property of the University and may only be returned to a Bidder at the University’s discretion.

j) Responses submitted to the University may be reviewed and evaluated by any person appointed thereto by the University acting in its sole and absolute discretion, except for competitor Bidders.
k) The University has the right to use any or all of the information presented to it in any Response to the tender as it deems fit.
l) The University reserves the right to accept either the whole or part of any bid, or to reject all bids, or to cancel the tender should it suspect misrepresentation or fraud.
m) The preference point for this tender is 90/10, where 90 is for price and 10 is for BBBEE.
