The University of Limpopo hereby invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors, to do
renovations and alterations of the MBL South Building at the Turfloop Campus of the University of University
Street, Township, Polokwane, in Limpopo.
Contracts will be based on the JBCC Edition 6.2 – May 2018.
T1.1.1 Eligibility and preferencing criteria are stated in the tender document, tenderers must be
registered with the CIDB and it is estimated that tenderers must have a CIDB contractor
grading of 8GB or higher or potentially emerging enterprises who satisfy criteria stated in
the tender data must have a CIDB contractor grading of 8GB or higher.
T1.1.2 The Employer is not bound to accept the lowest tender or portion of any tender and reserves
the right to waive any informality in tenders received as his interests may dictate nor is he
required to give reasons for selecting one tender in favour of another.
T1.1.3 Tender documents will be published and available for download from the
University’s website at http://www.ul.ac.za as from 20 September 2024
T1.1.4 A non-refundable tender deposit of R10 000.00 payable by EFT in favour of the Employer
is required should the Tenderer decide to submit an offer.

T1.1.5 A compulsory site briefing and session with representatives of the Employer will take

T1.1.6 Tenderers must confirm their attendance via an email to the following address
innocent.ramaila@ul.ac.za with the name of the company and contact details.
T1.1.7 The closing time for receipt of tenders is on 21 October 2024 at 16H00
T1.1.8 Tender documents must be submitted through an Online Tender Box at:
www.secure.sabeexdms.com. (Bidders must ensure that tenders are uploaded
timeously to avoid disappointments).
T1.1.9 Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, e-mail, physical, and late tenders will not be
accepted.
T1.1.10 Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation issued, and alternative tenders
are not permitted.
