Tender Notice and Invitation to Tender

The University of Mpumalanga invites tenders for the construction of the Lower Campus D725 Northern Entrances at the Mbombela Campus

The contract will be based on the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (Option B- Bills of Quantities)

It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 7GB or higher.

Only tenderers who demonstrate suitable experience and have suitably qualified personnel and comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data are eligible to submit tenders.

The pre-qualification criteria for preferential procurement are that only tenderers who are B-BBEE status level 1,2,3 or 4 contributors may respond to this tender notice and invitation.

Only tenderers who undertake to subcontract a minimum of 30% of the contract value to an EME or QSE which is at least 51% owned by black people and operate from premises within the Mpumalanga provincial boundaries are eligible to submit tenders. 

Documents may be downloaded from the Employer’s website www.ump.ac.za from 10:00 on  Wednesday 23 September 2020.

An Online Briefing is presented from the website where the documentation is downloaded. This can be accessed on-demand at any time before the tender closes. It is compulsory for tenderers to view the entire Online Briefing, and capture their particulars for submission at the end of the presentation. Tenderers are required to print out this confirmation and include this in their tender submissions.

The closing time for receipt of tenders is 12h00  hrs on Wednesday 28 October 2020.

Tenders are to be submitted online to the Online Tender Box that is located on the Tender Notice Page where procurement documentation are downloaded. Detailed instructions for online submission are published with the Online Tender Box.  

Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, e-mail, physical and late tenders will not be accepted.

Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
